As a National Patient Experience Director within Aramark’s Healthcare and Hospitality sector, Dr. Elizabeth Holder has demonstrated proven ability to foster strong relationships with hospital executives, front line managers, and nursing leadership to drive patient satisfaction outcomes in hospitality services. With a passion for organizational development, she believes that her role as a system leader is to develop a service culture that demonstrates value and respect for all patients and families.

 

Dr. Holder received her Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology from Arcadia University and a Masters of Arts from LaSalle University.  In March 2017, she successfully defended her dissertation titled, Career Entry, Retention, and Advancement Enablers and Barriers for Black Female Nurses: An Interpretive Study, in Saint Joseph University’s (SJU) Interdisciplinary Doctor of Education Program for Educational Leaders (IDEPEL). During her tenure as a System Patient Experience Manager, Dr. Holder developed an insatiable research interest to understand the role of facilitators and barriers in the career success of Black female nurses. A diverse healthcare workforce plays a vital role in the patient experience outcomes for patients, and Dr. Holder believes this research will offer higher education institutions and healthcare organizations recommendations to improve the retention and advancement of Black female nurses in the profession.

Dr. Holder has received a number of honors over the years. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from LaSalle University in Clinical Counseling Psychology, with a focus in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. Most recently, she was inducted into the College of Arts and Sciences (SJU) honor society for graduating in the top 5% of the graduating class, and the recipient of the Rashford Award for an outstanding dissertation for her Ed.D. thesis.

Dr. Holder currently serves as a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Co-Executive Sponsor for Aramark Ignite (a youth college and career readiness program), a member of Aramark’s Women Business Resource Network (WBRN), an active member of Aramark Building Community, a Diversity, Respect, and Inclusion Facilitator (MLH), member of the Urban League of Philadelphia, a graduate of Philadelphia’s Urban Leadership Forum, and a board member for Together for West Philadelphia.
