Dr. Danielle Sweat Whylly currently serves as the Community Outreach Specialist for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia. In this capacity, she develops and fosters relationships between the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the community by creating partnerships, prevention and ex-offender re-entry initiatives, and opportunities for staff to engage with residents throughout the District. In 2013 and 2017, Danielle received a U.S. Attorney’s Award for her dedication and commitment to the pursuit of justice.

Over the past 15 years, she has proudly served in the well-rounded social work capacities of adolescent and women’s substance abuse counseling, adolescent behavioral modification, cultural diversity, human trafficking and hate crime training and outreach, juvenile delinquency prevention, family advocacy, community development, policy research and grant writing. Dr. Whylly is also a proud member of the Metro-Atlanta Professional Chapter of SISTUHS, Incorporated, author of Pillow Talk…sshhh! and co-author of bitterSWEET: A 52-Week Poetry Devotional.

A native New Yorker, Danielle is a graduate of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU), receiving both a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Master of Social Work degree in Administration and Community Development. Danielle earned her doctorate degree from Clark Atlanta University, in Social Work Policy, Planning and Administration and currently resides in Metro-Atlanta with her husband and two children.
